Day 1 of 124.
Sounds like a long time doesn’t it?
18 weeks. This will be my longest ever prep for a comp but it’s necessary as I have more body fat to lose this time round after a very calorie dense off season.
The last 6 months have been spent in a calorie surplus to maximise muscle growth. I’ve trained hard and consistently so I’m hoping I’ve made some decent gains. I gained 39lb since my previous comp in April 2019 where I was 116lb on stage. I’m currently sitting at 152lb after dropping a few pounds over the last couple of weeks from tidying up my diet. Dan (my coach and husband) surprised us with a trip to Disney on New Year’s Day so he pulled my calories back just before Christmas to allow for lots of off plan food whilst away.
Today I officially start prep so I’ve started my morning with a 30 minute walk on the treadmill and will be training legs later this morning.
Calories have been reduced slightly so hopefully there will be some changes by the time I check in with Dan on Saturday morning. (I hope so, I feel like a whale!)
